#1 Removal of CON Laws in Virginia.
#2 We support the downregulation of physician administrative tasks as proposed by the current administration.
#3 Immediately double the DRG payments to primary care physicians for brief, medium and extensive office and hospital visits, and home and nursing home visits.
#4 Request funds from large healthcare organizations like Sentara, Bon Secour and Chesapeake Regional to actively and immediately recruit new primary care physicians and psychiatrists to this area to help improve access to care and to pay them 25% more than the current average salary until their income from patient care matches that amount.
#5 No further cuts in Medicare or Medicaid payments to providers.
#6 Oppose legislation that allows the state or federal governments or any insurance company to interfere with appropriate and ethical medical care as determined by the hypocritical oath and by the current standards of care has taught and expected by the majority of medical institutions across the country. Removal of all criminal penalties against providers who practice within these standards.
#7 We strongly support the Virginia Health Security Act (Single Payer System) as proposed by Bruce Silverman of the Richmond Academy of Medicine.
#8 We strongly support the PBM Accountability and Prescription Cost Transparency Act as proposed by Bruce Silverman of the Richmond Academy of Medicine.
#9 We request that determination of patient suicidality no longer be used as a criterion for admission to the hospital. The phrase “patient suicidality” or “patient suicide risk” should be replaced by “the severity of the patient’s mental illness resulting in inability to function or care for one’s self.”

The Roman Fasces was a symbol of strength and power occurring as a result of many binding together. It was made of multiple elm or birchwood rods about 5 feet long tied together and sometimes including an axe. It was carried by attendants to soldiers or powerful figures in ancient Rome. For us, it symbolizes that we are stronger and more powerful if we bind together in supporting our goals.
