Insurance Benefits for CVMS Members

Is insurance killing your bottom line?

Malpractice insurance is one thing. We can’t do much about that. But what about all the other kinds of insurance that you need to keep your office going. We CAN help you with that.

MSNVA (Medical Society of Northern Virginia) has developed an association with Northwestern Mutual such that if you belong to MSNVA, you have the opportunity to save up to 40% off on certain insurance items for your office. Due to our excellent relationship with MSNVA, they have offered to share this association with our members as well. So now, CVMS members are also eligible to receive deep discounts on the following types of insurance policies that are all available through United Health Care brokered by Northwestern Mutual:

  • Group Health/Medical Insurance
  • Dental and Vision
  • Key-Person Benefits
  • Life and Disability
  • Long Term Care
  • Executive Level Plans

Please note that these special discounted rates are only available if you are a member or become a member of one of our two Medical Societies - either MSNVA or CVMS. It is easy to get quotes on these plans. The underwriting process is streamlined. Enrollment is electronic and automated. Multiple benefits include a potential year-end surplus refund if claims are lower than expected, 24/7 access to physicians, rewards for reaching goals, and $0 cost for kids and $0 cost for certain vital medications. These plans are all administered through United Health Care, so you have only one company managing all your plans. Northwestern provides brokerage support with competitive pricing, ongoing service and support, reporting and claims analysis.

Roman Fasces: A symbol of strength and power due to the bundling of many into one united entity.

The Roman Fasces was a symbol of strength and power occurring as a result of many binding together. It was made of multiple elm or birchwood rods about 5 feet long tied together and sometimes including an axe. It was carried by attendants to soldiers or powerful figures in ancient Rome. For us, it symbolizes that we are stronger and more powerful if we bind together in supporting our goals.
